I've had many "strange" dreams recently..

One of note was of myself walking along a winding road with wide open spaces on my right, and a chain-mail fence on my left.
I think I had escaped from something else(cant remember what) and then found myself walking on this road and looking into the distance to see what was up ahead. I remember looking left towards the fence and suddenly stopping to look at some thorned vines which seemed to sparsely cover a shallow ditch by the fence.
Anyway, as I observed two particular interwoven vines, they slowly began to change before my eyes. They quickly became animate and started to both move and expand in size, where the thorns had been, were now vivid red marks(almost fire like), and as I scanned along the full length of these "vines", the tops, or ends, which were pointing lightly downwards, had now become writhing serpent heads.
For some reason, this did not alarm me greatly, as I inwardly sensed that complete safety lay just a short distance ahead.

There were some other earlier and later elements to this dream which I cant fully recall, there may have been a ufo sighting in there somewhere?.., but the vine/serpent part of it was very vivid, as were the colours of that kind of dry vine green, suddenly becoming those vibrant greens and reds.

No idea what it meant, if anything..

Hello atim,

I forgot there was a dream forum here! Your dream was more than a dream in my opinion. It made me wonder if there are major changes in store for you, and that perhaps you are in the process of making a major decision.

The road is obvious, it represents the path you are on.
Now you did not mention if it was winding or rough, I am assuming it was not. If it was then the path would be very difficult. You were looking straight ahead which is good.

The chain fence on the left represented an obstacle, maybe a hurdle you would have to get over if you so chose. However to get to it you had to cross a ditch. The ditch IMO represented a hidden danger, it is a warning of something coming up soon. However the good news it that even though it was covered by the vines, it was sparsely covered. Thin enough that you could see it. Sometimes when faced with choices we say, "well, this could lead to a great opportunity, or it could be a risk and I will hate myself in the end, is it worth taking?" And sometimes when you do not take it you have regrets. This time you see the risk, it is not so hard to figure out.

The vines have several meaning, I think it represents your thoughts about the future, your ambitions. If there had been another person I would say it represented smothering, being to clingy. The vines had thorns on them, and thorns freaking hurt if pricked by them. I think it represents pain or trauma from your past, does not have to be physical, could be mental or spiritual.

Snakes can represent many things, they are also sexual. But in this case because of it being on the wayside of your path, and the color and that two stood out to you, it was also a type of conflict and a warning. Two often represents duality and balance. What does the color green represent to you? I think the standard guides are useless because color represents different things to different people. Personally I think it represented growth of some sort, could have been financial. But because of the red, which you gave me a clue when you said red almost like fire, that even though it could be exciting, it also represented danger. So in essence you have that the vines were not what you thought, they morphed into something more dangerous, when problems become bigger they are often too big and difficult to handle, it may get out of hand.. hard to grasp, however you recognized it and kept moving forward.
The left hand path (no pun intended) would make you feel caged, fenced in, too many obstacles at this time. Keep looking ahead.

Then again I could be a nutter! Wink LOL

Take what you like and leave the rest, blessings to you on whatever you chose.

Many thanks for that Vamp Smile

I found your interpretation of my dream truly fascinating. On reflection, I think you could indeed be very close to the mark in a lot of respects. I am indeed on a road of sorts, and at the moment I feel as if I'm about ready to self implode through sheer frustration(more with the world in general than any one thing in particular).
A change for the better would be a great thing in dissipating the conflicting maelstrom within me at the moment.
I used to be very, very deep, and always kept my own council. The past few years however have seen me slowly, bit by bit, completely change that inward trend, and I am now speaking openly and getting out what was for many years trapped within.
So yes, I have certainly been undergoing a complete change, and I know that my journey is not yet at an end, although at least I now realise that I am on a definite road. Where it will lead however, is still tantalisingly unclear. Confused

You have certainly made me think about the whole thing in a different context. Wink

Thanks again Vamp Smile
