Here's an interesting little study on the infamous verse "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live." It's long but oh, so interesting.

http://www.draknet.com/proteus/Suffer.htm

I wonder if the "unwashed masses" in the pews ever stop to consider that maybe they're not so well informed about the "Good Book"?

Well, I said a similar thing on the Thread on Magick I started at the demands of another user. After I gave into his demands and put up only three posts he proceeded to do everything he could to prevent and interfere with the continuing.

He even engaged in alerting the others that they were forgetting their "conditioning" and that they must not read or understand what little I had put up. It is so typical.

I see many claiming to be Christians, but none of them follow the very same instructions they want non Christians to adhere to. Holding up a mirror to their conduct causes violent knee jerk reactions and continued avoidance of admitting that I am right.

Oh well Judge not lest ye be judged. Backfired on them and it is a shame not one person can grasp what damage they are doing to how people view them as examples of Christianity.

I know what you mean. The unreasoning anger is almost palpable with some people. They don't like facts because it goes beyond their limited worldview. As soon as they can't argue from the Bible they argue from imagination and emotion. ie they make stuff up and call you names. My sympathies to you. Their loss.

That would make sense.... I kinda think of this forum as "the happy place"... and hope others do as well

Shh you wake them up and then it will be an invasion!

Cyberpulpits and desk chair wannabe preachers in vain attempts at seizing you souls!

But seriously folks, I do on occasion visit the PID Forum and post there. It has quite a following and it is interesting.

Of all that I have posted there not one of them ever refuted any facts I wrote and I have written a lot!

OMG! You must have a masochistic streak in you LOL! I've been there a few times and wasn't much impressed really. There are some entrenched "original" posters who feel free to barge in on everything posted whether they know what they're talking about or not. And noone can admit to being wrong about anything. They're all "the love of Christ" when you agree with what they say but disagree and the knives soon come out. Good luck over there but don't bring any here if you want civility to continue LOL! Wink

Been on there for over 7 months. Most of them hate me. They can't stand it when I hold up a mirror and they are looking at what they are doing.

You should see them now! I have been booted of, blocked, and one guy took what I posted and then acted like he "exposed" me, this is only after I gave all the links to him. No one got it until I showed them. When I did the whole thing just stopped. I thought it really funny, that one single person could be so interesting to them. But then again if all you have is conspiracies and fabrications to look at, it gets pretty dull.

I just wish they would practice what they preach. Talking the talk is great but walking the walk is something they never seem to do and don't ever call them on it!

Man! I just popped over there and they're talking about the U.S. invading Iran on Good Friday! There's one guy who says his stomach is in knots over it. What a way to live. Always in a perpetual state of worry and paranoia. When I was there a while ago they were telling everyone to move away from the coasts because they were gonna be nuked by August or October or something. They were talking survival rations and whatnot radiation things. When it didn't happen they dropped it like lead and noone speaks of it now. It's like they wait for the next new thing to worry about and to fit into scriptures as best they can. Me, I'd be dead by now from worry. Oh well, to each his own I guess.

When reality sets in they all do that. One thing I noticed is this impending sense of doom that is ever present. They keep ranting about the end of the world ,rapture, etc and then they act afraid of it happening.

Whenever you point out the problems with the reasoning your become the bad guy for asking.
