Below is a link that is from a Christian site and has undertaken to expose people acting under the guise of Christianity.

So not only are the victims taking actions to expose these liars and frauds, but Christians are jumping on the bandwagon as well because they are sick of it too.

... and on the home page of that website we see:

Quote:
William Schnoebelen was a Satanist, Mormon, and 32° Freemason who was gloriously saved by Jesus Christ. Now he writes about the occult, and we are proud to offer his books to you.
Blood on the Doorposts

Lucifer Dethroned

Masonry, Beyond the Light

Wicca

Get all four the books in the Schnoebelen Collection.

see also: http://www.eaec.org/cults.htm

It starts with
Quote:
WHAT IS A CULT?

If you look up "CULT" in the dictionary, you will find a very broad definition of the word which could apply to almost any group of people that worship any person or image or even anyone that follows Jesus. The dictionary definition is not specific as to what a cult really is. We all know that man wrote the dictionary with head knowledge, but the word of God is inspired by the Spirit of God and is our only absolute truth.

A cult according to the Word of God is any group of people that worship anything or anyone other than Jesus Christ, and believe anything contrary to His Word as found in the Bible

hmmm what next ? oh yes:
Quote:
We are continually warned in the Bible to have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness. The cults fall into the category of darkness. Cults are leading people astray into lies, deceit, confusion and ultimately hell. According to II John 10-11, we are not even supposed to say, "God bless you" to cult members lest we be partakers of their evil deeds. We can tell cultists about the Lord, but if they don't want to hear and persist in their cult activities, we are to have no fellowship with them. Today's "Christianity" says, "Just love everybody and try to impress them with your life. After all, we all believe the same 'essentials'." The Bible says to mark those that cause division - not to embrace them. Romans 16:18

People do not realize that counterfeit religions, like counterfeit money, must resemble the genuine in order to deceive those who lack spiritual discernment or those who have not had the opportunity or taken the time to carefully compare all the facts with the truth of God's Word. Only when one compares men's words with Scripture will it become obvious that cult is a carefully crafted counterfeit, not the pure, genuine, biblical faith.

I'm sure there are some more choice statements:
Quote:
I've met people from a number of cults and all of them had been brainwashed by their religious leaders. You must be in prayer the whole time you are talking to them, because the spirits that have control over them must be quieted in order for them to hear what you are saying. The cult member has been told the same lies so many times that they believe it is true. They have been told that their group is the only one that has the truth. They may have also been told that the world considers their group a cult. They have been told that disciples of Jesus have to undergo the same persecution that Jesus did. You are talking to a person that thinks they are right.

I can't tell you how many times I've run into people who accuse others of what they themselves do or are.. typical... pathetic

and finally:

Quote:
You might think the message we bring is intolerant and disrespectful to other religions in the world, and that is true, Christianity does not tolerate other religions. The truth is always intolerant, 2+2 always equals 4 regardless of whether you want it to equal something else, tolerant mathematics simply doesn't exist. The God of creation has given us His Word in the form of the Bible. This same God is intolerant of other gods and paths to heaven, and according to Him, there is only one way, and that is His way (Jesus Christ is the only to God, there simply is no other way)!

We strive to tell the truth about the way to get to heaven, and if we are persecuted and labeled intolerant because of the message we bring, that is a price we are willing to pay. The truth is the truth, it doesn't change! We have provided you with the facts to make an informed decision, the most important decision you will ever make. Now that you have been presented with the truth, has this information strengthened your faith in your false religion?

This brings up images of "conversion at gunpoint"... reminds me of the "Ori" from the TV show SG-1 (hmmm you think there is a correlation here?)

Sorry I don't think so. I think he wrote that because he was affraid of exposure himself... remember there was already an investigation going on at the time. This guy was worried about his own skin no one else's. There is no mention of that page on that Carl guy anywhere on the website that I found... it might be there i just haven't found it yet

Sorry

I agree that those (like Billy) and the rest are always paranoid of being replaced or found out. The story never changes only the person telling (selling) it.

Everything that is laid upon others can be said about them and it is even more true as it exposes the hypocrisy behind the movement.

I am confident you can find the references and once you know what you can look for it is readily apparent. There are of course other items you will find along the way, but I was focusing on the method used and the fact the story never changes, only the person selling it and the use of fancy repackaging to make you believe something new is needed by you to purchase.
