Although I generally classify this under Science most put this under the heading of Magick.

What is interesting to find out is how many people in history were engaged in this.

Issac Newton was an Alchemist and modern writers have diagnosed some of his character traits as resulting from lead poisoning.

You all know the old story of lead into gold, but I found a cool video which I think has a very unique take on this legend.

If you have seen it watch this again and if you haven't check it out.

Glad you broke this out... i was feeling bad about how the Cathar thread seemed to have gotten a bit hijacked by ORMUS/M-State/White Powder Gold

I have a 1/2 oz bottle of White Powder gold that i got from whitepowdergold.com several months ago

I havent really used it since it's a full bottle (minus 2 drops) I might as well try the experiment and take 4 drops a day till the bottle is empty and see what happens. I dont know if the people from wpg.com are for real.. it might be a placebo.. or not.

I do have a few minor ailments at the time which will be heealed naturally (or rather w/ proper treatment) so for the sake of pseudo-science:
- Dental issue: had a cap & root canal done over the fall.. they drilled too deep, tooth wall collapsed at part caused infection, tooth fully extracted this week so i'm healing from that.

- Mild heart arythmis and lots of congestion - as a result of the dental issue.

I just finished my course of antibiotics. I just thought I'd mention that because there is a natural healing process... but well.. lets see if anything additional happens... not looking for anything radical like crazy Telekenisis skills. People say things like "thicker hair, more energy, better memory, clearer thought... well.. let's see what happens

I was thinking along the lines that the monotomic gold causes stimulation of parts of the brain that humans possess that allows us to do that.

Nicholas Flamel:

http://www.alchemylab.com/flamel.htm

Two links about him appear above.

There are some people including myself who believe some systems of Magick help develop some abilities that have been conditioned out of the populace.

Also, by keeping the populace from developing abilities prevents a person from realizing their full potential. Some may hold if these abilities were common place then these abilities could and would be used for purposes that go against majority acceptable standards.

I would argue that the process of development would help the individual to recognize what the capabilities are and to instill a sense of morality to allow them to know the difference and thereby put the burden upon them to refrain from using it for results contrary to the best interests of the individual and society in general.

With great power it necessarily couple with it the responsibility to use it wisely. Since the populace would force fairness to all including the individual that it would contain an inherent system of checks and balances, not unlike the Law of Karma, Golden Rule, etc.

or also, the Divine Law perhaps...The Hooded Man?

I've been looking into that for a while now.

maybe the "M" elements/WPG posts should be moved out of the Cathars thread into one of its own, I only pursued it because it was brought up. Let us know how it goes with the WPG Fresca.

Back to Alchemy..

Leaving aside their scrying experiments,

John Dee and his associate hawked themselves around the courts of Europe claiming they had mastered the art of Alchemy...

Although when asked to produce evidence..they quickly fled from country to country.

I'm neither pro nor anti Dee(fascinating history btw), just thought he should get a mention in relation to Alchemy.

Many of the well known persons of this time period had interests in Alchemy.

Dee also had an interest in another subject..... HMMM what was that, I seem to recall a video that was made about that...

No idea what video you mean(if its a veiled reference to a particular one, which I suspect it is..lol), however as he was British, I've seen lots of Brit TV programs on Dee..he's quite a popular subject area you know, and no, its not all about the "black arts"etc....Dee had so many varied interests and intrigue surrounding him.

As I made a point of saying to avoid any confusion, as far as Dee is concerned, I am neither pro nor anti...he's just a very interesting figure from history...and for many different reasons.

Infamy, Infamy...they've all got it "Infamy"(in for me Laughing ) sorry, its a British "Carry On" film reference...

It was a subtle hint at this:

http://www.angelfire.com/ca2/enochvid/order.html

One of the videos I produced. The other one was for Poke Runyon about Goetia.

After all what do I know.

oops, sorry, I thought it was a streaming link Embarassed

but I loved the pic and the funny sales pitch, excellent Cool

From the description of the video content I can now see why you misunderstood my reference to Dee.

Sorry for the misunderstanding my friend, but your still a mystery to me in many respects. But I hope we shall get to know one another much better in the future Smile
